Duncan & Ebbett then Classics Motor Museum, Hamilton
​
The Volvo Enthusiasts Club and the facebook group Volvo Marketplace (https://www.facebook.com/groups/511865225602647/?ref=br_rs) met at Duncan & Ebbett Hamilton who put on a morning tea for us. After that we went to the Classics Motor Museum for lunch.

Brit And Euro Car Show
​
Recently we attended the 2018 Brit and Euro car show. Cars included are 1995 850 T-5R, 1993 940 Turbo, 2008 S80, 2007 S80 V8, 2010 C30 and a 1989 240.

Concours d'Elegance 2018
​
This year's concours was a pretty wet day, despite that Joe's 850 T-5R still managed to attract a lot of attention. Cars entered include a 1995 850 T-5R, 1993 940 Turbo, 1989 240, 2007 S80 v8, 2010 C30 and a 2006 V70.

Christmas Lunch
​
This year our Christmas lunch was held in Clevedon, at the Corner Kitchen Bar, followed by a drive back through Maraetai for some members.

Visit To Nikau Caves
​
In October we had lunch at Nikau Caves restaurant, afterwards a few members went through the caves. It was a very wet weekend, and the water level in some parts of the caves was four times higher than usual. However it was well worth the visit!

Visit To Laurie Brunt's Yesteryear Barn
​
We visited Laurie Brunts Museum which is situated a few kilometres north of Paeroa on the 26th of August. He has interesting displays of farming and speedway memorabilia. Later we moved on to The Refinery in Paeroa for a very pleasant lunch and a wander around the antique shops

Visit To Hamilton Classic Car Museum
​
In July we took a trip to Hamilton to the classic car museum for lunch and a look inside the attached museum. A range of old cars were there, from 1920's American cars to 1980's European cars, all in pristine condition. There was also a range of old motorbikes, scooters and memorabilia.

Annual Meeting
​
The annual meeting for 2017 was held at the Fahrenheit Restaurant & Bar in Te Awamutu, with morning tea provided by the club followed by the meeting and then lunch.

90th Anniversary of Volvo
​
Several members from the club went along to Archibald and Shorter in Greenlane, Auckland for the 90th Anniversary of Volvo cars. Morning tea was provided by the dealership and some older cars were on display to mark the occasion. Namely an 850R and T-5R, along with a line up of new cars for sale.

2017 Te Awamutu Classic Car Show
​
Good day for a show, the weather was good and despite only 2 Volvo's attending, Lewis won the best European car award category, receiving a certificate and a trophy.

2017 Concours d'Elegance
​
The Concours this year had quite an impressive turnout, a lot of interest was shown in Lewis' Volvo S80 v8. Cars on display included a 1993 940 Turbo, 2006 V70, 2010 C30, 2007 S80 V8, 1973 164.

Christmas Lunch
​
This years' Christmas lunch was held at the Kaiaua Fish and Chip shop, followed by a relaxing drive back through the coastal side of Hunua for Auckland members.

Dutch Tour Of New Zealand
​
In late 2016, the Dutch Volvo club brought their cars out from Holland for a road trip around New Zealand. Our members had an opportunity to meet them one afternoon in Rotorua, Gerald and Janet took some photos of their cars.

Mid-Winter Luncheon
​
This years' mid winter luncheon was held at The Corner Stone cafe along with members from the Triumph and Rover club. Some years ago, this corner was the site of an old peat recovery factory. That has now gone and been replaced with a cafe, a house and tree planting.
